Grimmwoods Vainamoinen reference

An exercise I did for one of my favorite epic heroes, since (like Tolkien) I've got a great love of Finnish mythology. Unlike my Fate design, I went for more of a Gandalf-ish look, complete with the pointy, gray hat. His design's meant to be more of the "withered old man" look.

Vainamoinen is an ancient being, rumored to be as old as Grimmwoods itself. Sired by the winds and ocean, he was born an elderly man near the end of the Heroic Age. He brought many boons to the lands of the North, introducing music to them to combine with the shamanism they adopted from the Land of Spirits. Becoming a hero, a minstrel, and a great shaman, he seemed to be the most powerful figure in all the North...then, one day, he just left the lands on a boat made of copper. Some believe it was because he was scolded by a baby he rendered a hasty judgement on, others that he was preparing a way for other heroes because a short while after, the heroes of the Golden Age began to emerge. All they know is that he promises to return.

Due to being on a boat for over a thousand years, the ancient minstrel has aged considerably, but retaining his magical powers. Unfortunately, his mind had become a clouded mirror as of late and senility has caught up with him. He seems to be uncertain about what time he's in, what's happening, or how to communicate. But if one can discern his meaning, they would find a fountain of magical knowledge.
