...I don't usually do "sexy" characters. More from knowing my own shortcomings than anything. But I gave it a shot, 'cuz hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Think it turned out alright. Since most of the Olympians are kind of modernized in this, I used a Hollywood dress as a template (specifically this: www.wonderslist.com/wp-content…).

Aphrodite is no direct relative of the other Olympians. During the time of the Titans, their king, Kronos, castrated the primal sky entity, Uranus, the foam that formed around the remains became immortal flesh. Taking form long after the defeat of the Titans, she went to Olympus, fully formed and was welcomed among their ranks, dubbed "Aphrodite" after her origins and was made the goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation. Because of her nature, she was married to Hephaestus, the crippled god of the forge and flame, but she routinely sought other affairs. Her personal favorite was the god of war, Ares (as all is fair in love and war), with whom she had a son...who turned out to be the avatar of Eros, the primordial love entity.

Aphrodite is the goddess of love, so she has the ability to stir great passion in the hearts of others. Due to her nature as divine, animated, and anthropomorphized sea foam, her form is actually rather malleable. She has the basic form of a gorgeous, Mediterranean woman, but her details tend to shift to whatever the person who gazes upon her finds most attractive. She also has transfiguration powers (hence how she could turn Atalanta and Hippomenes into lions).

As expected of an Olympian goddess, she tends to be...temperamental and more than a little petty. She desires recognition and tributes when aided...and, if not given it, will respond in kind. She also had issues with Psyche, being the most beautiful mortal woman and sought to humiliate her when people began worshipping her instead. That being said, she's a rather protective mother to her children, Eros calling her a smothering force on him. At her best, she's seen as "the big shipper in the sky", seeking to make peoples' love come to be.
