"Hey, guys, Tohokari-Steel here, breaking character this week." Steel greeted, in his 'Writer' garbs: a jacket, a fedorah, and a black T-shirt, "What with me going to Nebraska, the much drier environment wreaking havoc on my sinuses, and me getting a job, I couldn't make a full-on review this week. I have about four pages of my Citizen Kane review down, but I didn't have the heart to finish it. So, here's another episode of The Folder!"

The Folder

When you walk away
You don't hear me say
"Please,
Oh, baby...
Don't go."
Simple and clean is the way that you make it
Make me feel tonight
It's hard to let it go...

Highlander

"Yeah, the original review for this movie is one that I'm rather embarrassed about." Steel said, "It was a hot day, my mind really wasn't in the game, the audio on the DVD was bad (though it might've been the fan I was using to keep myself cool), I had been told that the American cut was ambiguous and I had no idea that I actually had the European cut, and I felt rushed because I was afraid of going back to house-sitting any moment. So, I threw together some half-butt, badly-explained review."

"A few months later, in the cool area known as my basement, I decided to watch the movie again on Netflix." Steel continued, "And...I actually liked it a lot more the second time."

"The first time I reviewed it, I said that I didn't know what to make of it." Steel said, "But now, I think I DO: it's a hardcore, sword-fighting movie with a very interesting premise, memorable characters, and many crappy sequels. I MIGHT be reviewing The Quickening as my third-year anniversary, by the way. Christopher Lambert was GREAT, better than Sean Connery in my opinion...which is weird, considering I really like Sean Connery. I think it's because of more screentime. Clancy Brown gives a detestably enjoyable performance as the Kurgan and, because of this role, I've suddenly decided that (along with Malcolm McDowell and Christopher Lee) Mr. Brown should be assumed to be a bad guy simply by looking at his resume."

"The fight choreography is enjoyable and, if I wasn't a fan of Queen before, I sure am now." Steel said, "Well, a softcore one anyway."

"So, final say: Highlander is a VERY enjoyable film that I say deserves multiple viewings." Steel said, "If I had to nitpick, I'd have to say that a few things go unexplained: like how did the Immortals come to be, why can't they fight on holy ground, and other questions like that, but...maybe a lack of answers is for the better."

"I'm Tohokari-Steel, this was the Folder, and I'll have the Citizen Kane review up next week." Steel concluded, standing up and walking away.

Revised Final Score:

Pros:
-Awesome fight choreography
-Interesting premise
-Great performances
-Songs by Queen

Cons:
-A few unexplained things go unanswered (though it might be a good thing)

Final Score: 8.5/10
Yeah, I was too lazy! didn't feel like making Outta the DVD review this week, so here's my cop-out: ANOTHER installment of the Folder.

Unfortunately, some of the things they leave unexplained have left many whiny people endlessly complaining about it, but then again I suppose answering some of them would make some people question that further, so I guess it's sort of a double-edged sword there. :hmm:
