The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers
The martial arts masters chosen by Zordon to combat evil in all its forms with a large arsenal of weapons.

VERSUS

The Half-Bloods
Children of the Olympian gods who spend their entire lives fighting monsters and the enemies of Olympus.

WHO...
IS...
DEADLIEST?!

Both of these groups are super-powered teens whose sole job is to fight for a higher power. Both of them are packing powerful arsenals and have higher-than-average skills. I'm going to enjoy this because I was a Power Rangers kid and I love the Percy Jackson series.

Headed by Tommy Oliver, the Power Rangers. Five teenagers were chosen by the great leader of good, Zordon, and given great skills and weapons to combat the evil Rita. Later, they were joined by Tommy Oliver (who was originally on the side of evil), who later lost his powers only to be given a new power. Eventually, three new Rangers are selected as the other three had to leave. They bring to the match...

Saba Saber...
Power Sword...
Power Lance...
Power Axe...
Power Bow...
Power Daggers...
and are encased in Ranger armor

Led by Percy Jackson, he Half-Bloods are demigods who inhabit a summer camp. They are the children of the old Greek gods and are VERY different. They have ADHD, but that means that they have enhanced battle reflexes. They are given powers from their Olympian parent, but don't often use them. They proved their mettle by holding their position in New York City against the army of Kronos, which vastly out-numbered them. They bring to the match...

Riptide...
Stygian Iron Sword...
Electric Spear...
Cudgel...
Apollo Long-Bow...
Celestial Bronze Knife...
and are armored in Greek Celestial bronze

Now, let's compare the arsenals...

In short-range weapons, the Powers Rangers have the Saba Saber and Power Sword white the Half-Bloods have Riptide and a Stygian Iron Sword. While all four close-quarter weapons are powerful, we still have to take armor into consideration. I don't think that the Power Rangers suits will stand up to the Celestial Bronze and Stygian Iron, both of which are made of supernatural materials. Celestial Bronze will probably be able to take the battering from the swords.

Edge: Half-Bloods

In medium-range weapons, the Rangers have the Power Lance and Power Axe while the Half-Bloods bring the Electric Spear and Cudgel. The Power Lance is a nasty weapon—a three-bladed, double-ended spear, but the Electric Spear packs a nasty punch. If the strike doesn't kill your opponent, the electrocution WILL. Due to a double-punch kill, Electric Spear gets the edge.

Edge: Half-Bloods

But for the second round of medium-range, the Cudgel is a simple, yet effective weapon—a club, but can be used to crack open skulls. However, the Power Axe is simply devastating. It's an axe, but also can be used as a cannon. That's just too much for me to turn down!

Edge: Power Rangers

In long-range, we have the Power Bow and the Apollo Long Bow. Both of these weapons can be used with great effect and accuracy. However, the Power Bow has one extra kick to it—the arrows explode on contact, which will cause a lot more damage. The Power Bow gets the edge.

Edge: Power Rangers

In special weapons, the Power Rangers bring the Power Daggers while the Half Bloods have the Celestial Bronze Knife. The Bronze Knife is a very simple and effective weapon and it might be able to exploit the weak points of the Rangers' armor. The Power Daggers are a set of daggers that can be used in close-quarter combat or even projectiles. Due to numerical advantage and versitility, the Power Daggers get the edge.

Edge: Power Rangers

Now, onto the X-Factors—critical intangibles that could affect the outcome. In this match, I've gotten four main factors: physical toughness, armor reliability, combat skills, and determination.

In physical toughness, it's a tough one. The Power Rangers have had to deal with tremendous odds against a HUGE variety of monsters. But then again, so have the Half-Bloods. They took on Kronos AND WON. They've had to deal with monsters all their lives. The two draw up even in physical toughness.

Now, for armor reliability. This one is an easy sell for me—the only Ranger that's significantly armored is the White Ranger. Celestial Bronze is an incredibly durable metal as it was forged by Olympians themselves. The Power Rangers are insufficiently armored and that could affect their score. My edge goes to the Half-Bloods.

Next is combat skills. The Half-Bloods have trained themselves to find the weak-points in every enemy and strike at it after years of combat training. The Power Rangers are EXTREMELY skilled martial artists and all of them are the best imaginable. It's close, but the Rangers get the edge in combat skills.

Finally, determination, which group has the most determination to win the battle? Both of these groups never stop fighting until they've won. However, here's a major difference—the Power Rangers KNEW they could handle enemies like Rita and Zedd. The Half-Bloods knew that they were out-numbered against Kronos and were out-gunned, but they still fought against them. The Half-Bloods get the edge in determination.

Now, it's time for the final battle—Power Rangers vs. Half-Bloods. The six original Power Rangers vs. six fighters from Camp Half-Blood.

WHO...
IS...
DEADLIEST?

(fight)

In New York, six teenagers were walking through the streets—four boys wearing white, red, blue, and black and two girls wearing pink and yellow. For some possibly racist reasons, the girl wearing the yellow shirt was Asian and the boy wearing the black shirt was African-American. It would probably be best to not think about it. They were (in order) Tommy, Jason, Billy, Zack, Kimberly, and Trini.

Not far away, five Half-Bloods wearing bronze armor marched up. Among their ranks was a satyr, carrying a club. They looked and saw the six teenagers and began readying their weapons. They were Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Nico De Angelo, Clarice La Rue, and Will Solace. The satyr was Grover.

"IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!" Tommy shouted.

Tommy: WHITE TIGER!
Zack: MASTODON!
Kimberly: PTERODACTYL!
Billy: TRICERATOPS!
Trini: SABER-TOOTHED TIGER!
Jason: TYRANNOUSAUR!

Immediately, the six were covered in multi-colored armor: Jason in red with a Tyrannosaurus helmet, Zack in black armor with an elephantine helmet, Kimberly in pink armor, Billy in blue with a Triceratops helmet, Trini in yellow armor with a feline helmet, and Tommy was in white armor with a golden chest-plate. Jason summoned a sword, Zack an axe, Kimberly a bow, Billy a lance, Trini twin daggers, and Tommy a sword with a tiger-like hilt.

Percy stood up straight and held up his short-sword, Riptide. Nico pulled out a Stygian Iron sword, Annabeth pulled out a knife, Clarice held up a spear whose tip sparked with electricity, Will held out a bow, and Grover pulled out a club.

Power Rangers: 6
Half-Bloods: 6

Will fired an arrow, which hit Tommy on the chest-plate, doing no damage. Kimberly fired her Power Bow at Will. The arrow hit him in the face and exploded.

Half-Bloods: 5

The other Half-Bloods charged into battle, except Annabeth, who slunk away. Trini and Kimberly followed after her while the other Rangers were fighting.

Grover charged at Zack and swung his cudgel at him. Zack dodged the attack, bringing his axe up, blocking another strike. Grover's next strike hit him on the arm, making a loud crack. Zack hefted up his axe and brought it down on Grover, splitting his shoulder open.

Half-Bloods: 4

Clarice yelled as she charged at Billy, who jumped out of the way with his Power Lance. He thrust out with it, hitting Clarice on the chest-plate. It bounced off, doing no damage. Clarice laughed at this as she thrust out her spear. Billy blocked with his lance, but felt the jolt from the spear's electricity. Clarice closed the distance and punched Billy to the ground before bringing her spear down into him.

Power Rangers: 5

A few minutes into the fight, and the fighters began to dissipate. Jason and Nico were fighting while Tommy and Percy were simply pacing around each other, gauging each other.

In the city, Kimberly and Trini were moving, cautiously, through the city. Kimberly kicked a door open before looking through it. She immediately saw Annabeth spring at her with a bronze knife in hand. She drove the blade into her three times before dropping her corpse and jumping back into the shadows.

Power Rangers: 4

Jason and Nico continued clashing their swords—Power Sword on Stygian Iron. Jason deflected a strike to bring his blade smashing across Nico's helmet, knocking him to the ground. He brought his sword up, but Nico brought his sword thrusting up, piercing his chest. Nico removed the sword as Jason fell to the concrete in a heap.

Power Rangers: 3

Nico smirked as he looked around. A shocked look crossed his face as he saw Zack with his Power Axe pointing at him in its cannon position.

BLAM!

Nico was hit, full in the face, by a blast of energy. It sent him to the ground and he lay motionless.

Half-Bloods: 3

Trini walked into the house with her daggers in hand. Annabeth lept out with her knife in hand. Trini blocked the strike with one of her daggers and thrust out with the other, the blade bouncing off her chest-plate. Annabeth slashed with her knife, causing a cut to appear in Trini's armor. The Yellow Ranger lunged over at Annabeth before bringing her daggers slashing across her face. She then hurled one of her daggers into Annabeth's neck.

Half-Bloods: 2

Trini rushed out of the building and saw the battle at hand. She ran towards it to see that Clarice was fighting Zack, thrusting out her spear and keeping him from firing with the axe cannon. She yelled as she jumped into the air, throwing her daggers. Clarice dodged the strikes and thrust out her spear, impaling Trini before hurling her away.

Power Rangers: 2

Clarice turned just in time to see Zack pointing the cannon at her. However, Percy and Tommy lunged at the two at the same time. Riptide slashed across Zack's chest while Saba Saber slashed across Clarice's face. The two enemies were dropped at the same time.

Half-Bloods: 1
Power Rangers: 1

Tommy and Percy looked at each other before readying their blades. The two ran at each other and brought their swords smashing across each other, but simply bounced off of each others' armor. They wheeled around before charging again and lunging at the two. Percy thrust out his fist, but Tommy ducked under the punch...but missed the knee to his gut. The White Ranger staggered up, his saber still in hand as Percy advanced on him. He blocked the next strike from Riptide and deflected the blow before sweep-kicking Percy, sending him to the ground. Tommy kicked Riptide away before slashing Percy across the throat.

Half-Bloods: 0

Tommy lifted up his sword and shouted out loud before vanishing in a bright, white light.

Winner: Power Rangers

This was a close one, both of these groups were neck-and-neck throughout the entire match. The Power Rangers barely scraped by with five hundred and ten kills, leaving the Half-Bloods with four hundred and ninety.

Power Rangers:
Saba Saber: 25
Power Sword: 35
Power Lance: 100
Power Axe: 200
Power Bow: 120
Power Daggers: 30
Kills: 510

Half-Bloods:
Riptide: 100
Stygian Iron Sword: 83
Electric Spear: 187
Cudgel: 11
Apollo Long Bow: 99
Celestial Bronze Knife: 10
Kills: 490

The Half-Bloods had superior armor, but ultimately their weapons paled in comparison to the Power Rangers', the Power Axe in particular gaining the most kills in the match. The Half-Bloods also had the majority in X-Factors.

Physical Toughness:
Power Rangers: 50
Half-Bloods: 50

Armor Reliability:
Power Rangers: 62
Half-Bloods: 38

Combat Skills:
Power Rangers: 45
Half-Bloods: 55

Determination:
Power Rangers: 59
Half-Bloods: 41

It was a very close call, the Half-Bloods were seasoned fighters and had great armor, but the Power Rangers showed that they could punch right through that with more futuristic weaponry and proved that they are the Deadliest Warriors.

GO-GO POWER RANGERS!
My next Deadliest Warrior match, pitting science fiction against mythology. This was a match I've been planning for a while now.

Next match: Peacekeepers vs. Vongola (The murderous hand of Panem's totalitarian government, trained to keep the districts under control and subdued vs. the most famous Mafia family in the world, trained to use bullets and Dying Will.)

Here's an idea; a Death Battle featuring Percy Jackson  vs the White Ranger.
