DBH Abandoned Ones: Execution

In flashes of light, the three Hosts reappeared in the courtroom.

"What was the meaning of that?!" Punishment shouted.

"An unconventional ending." Question stated.

"The idea was that you would fight to the death until only the strongest one remained." Compassion said.

"Which was totally supposed to be me, right?" Steel asked.

"I was expecting the toon girl to win." Judgement commented.

"BOO-YAH! IN YOUR FACE!" Bella whooped. The Final Fantasy victory tune began playing as she held up a rather large championship belt into the air.

"Where did you get that?" Steel asked.

"Okay, WHAT is going on?" Question asked, "You pluck us out of nowhere, force us to nearly KILL EACH OTHER, and then say that you were hoping one of us would survive so you'd have the strongest. I'm NOT questioning this bizarre line of thought. I'm from DC Comics. I deal with talking gorillas, aliens, and whatever stupid retcon they think would make a good story for about five minutes. But I think we deserve an answer. WHAT is up with this?!"

"There is a fifth Guardian." Authority said, "His name is Execution. He was in charge of dealing out the final punishment."

"Ya mean it's NOT the red lady?" Steel asked.

"I am PUNISHMENT." Punishment stated, "I create the proper punishments that are only in direct proportion to the crime committed."

"We felt that exile to this world would be the proper course of action." Compassion continued, "Execution, however, did not. He felt we robbed him of his rightful prey and began going through reality, terminating all copies of you he came across."

"Dude, NOT cool." Steel said.

"We allowed this to continue because we did not see any immediate effects...but eventually, we discovered their deaths were causing the copies of the different worlds you imprinted on to begin merging with their worlds again, causing mass destruction." Judgement said, "We kept them from completely shattering their realities, but we cannot keep it up forever. Our only option was to bring in you for your final punishment. We originally wanted just one of you, since the power required to stop a Guardian is at its strongest when undivided. However, in this scenario..."

Judgement held his hand up as energy flowed from it, into the three Hosts. They felt an odd, tingly sensation from this, as well as an energized feeling.

"He is currently in the void between dimensions." Authority said, "You have our permission to enter into that realm."

Question put a finger to his chin, looking thoughtful. He then asked, "You said there were copies of us. How many remain?"

In the void between worlds, a bright violet light floated through. He had collected countless lives of those three rule-breakers. The other Guardians had been foolish to think he could be denied his rightful prey. He would claim the lives of the three abandoned ones until they were wiped from existence. He had encountered other replicas of the three in the past, but they were the original inhabitants of those worlds. They belonged there. He was to seek out those who did not belong.

"Hey, Purple Man!"

The being looked over to see a bright light tear open in the void. Through it stepped three figures--the first was a girl with dirty blonde hair puled down in a ponytail, big brown eyes, a black shirt with pink sleeves, a Chunin jacket, military camo pants, and sandals. The second one was a muscular, young man with spiky, black hair and side-burns and eyes hidden under a set of sunglasses, black fingerless gloves, turn jeans, a black belt with a skull-shaped buckle, a faded denim jacket, a black T-shirt, a red chainsaw on his belt, and a silver chain with a hook wrapped around his shoulder. The third figure was clad in a blue longcoat and fedora, a yellow undershirt, and a black tie and gloves while his facial features consisted of neatly-combed black hair and no visible face, just a stretch of skin with only a lump and two small grooves to give an indication of a nose and eyes.

"So, the Abandoned Ones arrive..." the light said, shifting to form a large, rather threatening-looking man with shoulder-length hair and covered in armor, carrying an ax, "You understand now that-"

WHAM!

Execution staggered back, massaging his face. Steel had quickly closed the distance to punch him right in the nose.

"Shut up." Steel stated.

"We're including THAT in his feats now." Question said, writing down 'punched a guardian of reality in the face' in his notebook.

"You want us, jerkface?" Bella asked, "Well, here we are! Just don't expect us to go down without a fight!"

"What could you three hope to accomplish?" Execution asked, recovering and kicking Steel back to the other two, who caught him, "You are but a child, a gladiator, and a detective. What could you hope to do to damage a Guardian of Reality, which is nearly a GOD?"

"Who said we were alone?" Question asked, motioning with his hand.

At that point, an army of copies of Steel, Bella, and Question walked out of the portal. They had gathered as many copies as they could in the allotted time. But it was a good number of them. The Guardians had told them about some interference causing small hiccups in their imprints on other worlds, but they would not be noticeable.

There was the Highschool DxD versions, which had the three possessed by various monsters, Steel by an oni, Bella by a shapeshifter, and Question by a phantom. The Rosario+Vampire versions, which consisted of a female version of Steel, Bella as a doppleganger, and Question as a Noppera-bo. The Justice League versions, in which a pretty much normal version of  Question was in care of his universe's Steel and Bella (called Steel Blade and Toon Girl). The Naruto Universe, in which the three were Konoha Chunin and where Question was actually around their ages, without his mask and with his black hair (which was usually red). The Digimon Universe, where they were accompanied by their Digimon partners: Agumon for Steel, Andromon for Bella, and Sorcerermon for Question. The Kill la Kill Universe, where Bella wielded part of the scissor blade while Question and Steel were clad in long coats. The Deadman Wonderland Universe, where all three of them were clad in prisoner jumpsuits and wearing the silver collars that injected the slow-acting poison into their bodies. The Fairy Tail versions, where Steel was a gladiator, Bella was a Summoner, and Question was an Archive. The Okami universe, where Steel was clad in samurai armor and carrying a katana, followed by a foxgirl version of Bella, and Question who resembled No-Face from Spirited Away. The MLP Universe, where Bella was an alicorn princess, accompanied by a unicorn version of Steel, and a faceless Earth Pony version of Question. The Pokémon Universe, where trainer version of Question was accompanied by an Eevee version of Steel and a Dusknoir version of Bella. The Soul Eater Universe, where Question was followed closely by Steel and Bella. And the Persona Universe, where Steel, Bella, and a maskless Question were wearing the glasses that allowed them to see shadows.

"LET'S KICK HIS ASS!" shouted DW!Steel, making cuts on his wrists. Immediately, blood chainsaws sprung out as DW!Bella poked a hole onto her hand. Blood covered her body as she changed into a large, crimson insect-like creature.

"YAY!" KlK!Bella exclaimed, spinning her scissor blade until it was in an offensive pose. KlK!Steel and Question activated their Kamui coats, which turned into rather revealing armor.

"Yeah, seen too much." Okami!Steel said as he drew his katana, his versions of Bella and Question charging forward, teeth bared.

"C'mon!" Pokémon!Question said to his Eevee and Dusknoir.

"FOR EQUESTRIA!" MLP!Bella proclaimed as she, Steel, and Question charged forward.

"BELIEVE IT!" Naruto!Steel shouted as he caused a set of windmill shuriken to appear into his hands, Bella changing into The Flash, and Victor summoning a Rasengan into his hand.

"For justice!" JL!Question shouted as Steel Blade pulled out his weapons and Toon Girl changed into the Martian Manhunter, flying at the god-like being.

"RIP HIM APART!" Shouted R+V!Steele, charging at the guardian, followed by Bella and Victor as they shifted into their monster forms.

"Together now!" SE!Question shouted, grabbing onto Steel and Bella. The two then shifted into a weapon for each hand--Steel into a chainsaw and Bella into a spear that lashed around like a whip.

"Let's get 'im!" HDxD!Bella shouted as the three converged on the guardian.

"BIOMERGE ACTIVATE!" The Digimon!Hosts shouted. In a flash of light, Steel had become ShineGreymon, Bella into Craniamon, and Victor into AncientWisemon.

"PERSONA!" The Persona!Hosts shouted, grasping at blue cards that appeared before them. Their respective Arcanas appeared before them--Bella's was the Wild Card, Steel's was the Chariot, and Question's was the Hierophant.

The charge of the various versions of the Hosts was led by the Death Battle versions, piling on top of the Guardian of Execution. Naruto!Victor blasted him with a Rasengan as Bella delivered rapid-fire punches and Steel hurled his shuriken. The R+V!Hosts did their part as Steele punched and kicked at him while Victor let out a blood-curdling screech and Bella began slashing at him as Manolo. The MLP!Hosts fought with magic blasts from Bella, chunks of earth grabbed by Steel's magic, and powerful kicks from Question. The JL!Hosts attacked with punches, slashes, and telepathic assaults. TheDW!Hosts viciously attacked with blood chainsaws, claws, and punches and kicks (that universe's Question didn't have powers). The HDxD!Hosts attacked him with their monster-based powers. The Okami!Hosts made their attack with slashing swords and bites. Pokémon!Victor directed Steel and Bella's Pokémon-selves, Steel changing into a Jolteon to release a powerful Thunderbolt attack as Bella threw a Shadow Punch. The KlK!Hosts made their assault by Bella slashing at the guardian while Steel and Question punched and kicked with Kamui-enhanced strength. SE!Victor slashed and stabbed with his comrades-turned-weapons. The FT!Hosts attacked as Steel summoned two large, jagged-looking swords to attack while Bella summoned Megatron to fire powerful blasts and Victor analyzed him with Archive magic. The Persona!Hosts attacked with their respective Persona. The Digimon!Hosts made their attack, ShineGreymon rleasing a Shining Blast attack as Craniamon sent a sonic wave with a Shock Ringer and AncintWisemon prepared a Laplace no Ma attack.

With a roar of fury, the Guardian of Execution released a burst of violet energy. The wave sent all the versions of the three Hosts flying in different directions, hitting the ground in varying degrees of unconsciousness. The only three left standing were the DB-versions of the Hosts and even then, they were looking rather battered. Steel's sunglasses were broken, Bella's jacket was ragged, and part of Question's face mask was torn loose. They panted, heavily as Execution came closer. His ax slowly raising.

"Any ideas?" Question asked.

"Good question..." Steel panted.

"Wait! I've got one!" Bella exclaimed, "And it doesn't involve a whoopee cushion!"

Bella grabbed onto her two friends. Accessing the power that the Guardians gave her as well as her natural shapeshifting abilities, she began to pull the two into herself. She remembered what the other Guardians had said about the power being weaker when divided, so, she did the best thing she could think of--undivided it. The two melted into her as she yelled, growing taller as her form changed. She became bulkier as her hair became more wild, more untamed. Her jacket grew longer as it changed into a denim coat, a blue fedora appearing on her head as a chainsaw appeared at her side. Her face faded into skin as streaks of black and red appeared in her hair, her sandals becoming more bootlike. The merged entity looked at its hands before looking back at Execution with a look of determination. It then pulled the chainsaw off its belt, showing that, in the place of the bright yellow "Steel-Inator" was a "Tri-Killer" in yellow words. It revved the saw up and charged at Execution. The two collided and began swinging their weapons at each other. The entity slashed down with the saw only for it to be blocked by Execution's ax. He then deflected the strike and swung it at the entity, who released a burst of chemical gas to obscure the guardian's vision and to dodge the strike. Execution swung his ax around and cleared the smoke away only for the entity to pull its saw out again. It pushed a button on the chainsaw and a boxing glove sprung out of the tip to punch Execution right in the eye. Execution recoiled, but lunged at the entity, slashing with his ax. The entity jumped back, the ax's blade grazing its shirt and tearing it open. It then delivered an upper-cut to Execution, knocking him off his feet. The entity then spun its chainsaw around as it opened up to reveal a cannon barrel. Energy began to gather in the weapon as the entity pointed it right at Execution's face.

"You don't mess with us." It said in the voices of all three Hosts.

An explosion of energy burst from the cannon, hitting Execution full in the face. He roared in pain as his body began to fade away until it was little more than a small speck of violet light. With a burst of light, the three Hosts separated into their individual beings, looking disoriented.

"Okay...didn't expect that." Bella groaned.

"But it was effective." Question commented.

"And we are forever grateful." Said a voice. The four lights came from the doorway and shifted into their guardian forms. Authority took the speck of violet light and held it at eye level with a small smile.

"You cannot destroy a guardian of reality." Judgement said, "Only reduce him to his base form."

"As punishment, he will remain in his base form until he regains awareness." Punishment stated, "He will be severely punished."

"As for your counterparts..." Compassion said, waving his arms. The copies of the three Hosts vanished in golden light, "They are returned to their versions of the worlds you imprinted on."

"But what about us?" Steel asked.

"For aiding in the capture of Execution, you are cleared of all charges." Authority said.

"But you will have someone watching you at all times." Punishment said, holding up her hand. In a burst of red light, a handheld device appeared in Question's hand. The vigilante held it up, showing a screen with a stylized VM on it. A figure appeared in the center--a humanoid program with a black sphere for a face. A emoticon appeared on its face.

"Greetings. I am Virus Man." It said, "I was copied from my home world to watch over you."
"YAY, NW FRIEND!" Bella exclaimed.

"Now, begone and never trouble us again." Judgment ordered, waving his hand. In a flash of light, the four vanished.

The Station...

The four appeared in their recording studio.

"Well, we're back...with a new guy." Steel commented, holding up the device, "Hey, newbie, how about you make the next intro?"

"I shall." Virus Man, "Next time on Death Battle..."
